When you guess a word in Semantle, the app will tell you how close your guess is to the real word. Semantle got rid of the rule that words could only have five letters. Thanks to this, words can now be any length. Instead, you can guess as many times as you want, and the % shows how close you were to guessing the word that goes with the hidden word. Because it's hard, it is hard.
Semantle's game play
Every answer must be just one word. Semantle will tell you how much your word sounds like the secret word. It's not spelled like other word games; instead, the focus is on what the words mean. We get comparisons from Word2vec. The most likely match is 100. So, you have won, since the words are the same. In theory, -100 is the lowest, but in practice, it's usually more like -34. If you get a very low score, which means that you got the word right as an adjective or verb, the answer can be a noun.
The "Closing" sign lets you know how close you are. If your term is one of the 1000 regular words that come closest to the target word, your ranking will be shown (1000 is the target word itself). If your term is not one of the closest 1000 words, you will be considered "cold." (By "normal," I mean words that don't start with a capital letter and can be found in a long list of English words. Even though they are close together, many words that are capitalized, misspelled, or hard to understand do not rank. That text ("?????") is highlighted.
